JAZZ
show for all audiences
Video
Jazz explores the connections between African-American music and urban and social dances. The piece creates a dialogue between the heritage of jazz, the energy of hip-hop, and the unique styles of the performers.
Through rhythm, collective action and the memory of gesture, Mohamed Rouabah questions what these dances tell us about their time: the affirmation of an identity, freedom of expression and the encounter with the other.
A physical and musical language where the history of forms becomes a living material, shared with the public.
