THE DANGSTERS COMPANY
Founded in 2002 in Kunming, Yunnan, the Dangsters company develops a dialogue between hip-hop dance and traditional Chinese dances.
This research resonates with that of Métamorphoz: to bring together the cultures of movement, to share know-how and to build a shared choreographic language without erasing the singularity of each.
“Feng Shui” was born from the collaboration between the Chinese choreographer “Phoenix,” whose real name is “Du Fei,” of the Dangsters company, and Mohamed Rouabah of the Metamorphoz company. It's where traditional Chinese dance meets urban dance.
A FRENCH-CHINESE MEETING
The creation brings together the worlds of Mohamed Rouabah, of the Métamorphoz company, and Phoenix (Du Fei), of the Dangsters company. Mimane Musa assisted with the coordination and communication of this collaboration.
